Sources, coverage & rating methodology
Customer stars are the mean of genuine approved source ratings. Unrated comments never become customer stars. Car customer ratings require confirmed firsthand ownership. Source evidence is available inside each category.
Calculated reputation combines genuine ratings and approved aspect sentiment. Unrated reviews have reduced weight; car evidence requires firsthand ownership. Minimum reviews: 5
Calculated reputation = (weighted evidence sum + 5 × 3) / (evidence weight + 5)
Unrated signal = 3 + 2 × (positive aspects − negative aspects) / (positive + negative aspects); weight = 0.5. Genuine rating weight = 1. Each record contributes once.
The overall score is an equal average (one third each) of the dealer, service and car scores that have enough reviews. Brand and dealer aggregates pool individual evidence; they do not average model or branch averages. A 0–100 score is the adjusted five-star value multiplied by 20. Coverage may be incomplete. These are not market rankings. Missing reviews never count as negative evidence.
